In April last a motor-cyclist, John Hamlyn White, lost control of his ma--1 chine when turning a corner in Hamili ton and crashed into a party of workmen i at lunch on the footpath. One man, Samuel William Tallis, had a leg and a bone in his wrist broken. ' To-day he received £BO2 damages on a I claim for £1640, the case being settled out of Court. ‘
