Theft from Strongroom SUM OF £25 TAKEN Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North, November 24. At some hour on Saturday night the premises of Messrs. Hodder and Tolley in Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North, were entered and £25 was taken from the strongroom. When the last member of the firm left the building at about 6 p.m. on Saturday evening everything was apparently in order, but when a cleaner arrived yesterday morning he found a door lending into the right-of-way opened. An investigation disclosed that the strongroom had been entered and the money removed. There is no evidence as to how the thief gained an entrance to the building. The safe was opened, it is presumed, by a key that was left in a drawer and which was missing yesterday morning.
