FIGHTING IN PARK
Council Takes Serious View When general business came before the Lower Hutt Borough Council last night, Councillor J. Mitchell reported that at 10 o’clock on Friday night some larrikins were fighting on the lawns in Riddiford Park. The caretaker, Mr. Edwards, came on the scene, and two of them set on him, with the result that Mr. Edwards is suffering from a sore shoulder. He managed, however, to hold on to one of the offenders until the arrival of tiie police. The council decided last night to press for the extreme penalty when the matter is ventilated in court.
