HAWKE CUP CRICKET
Manawatu & Wairarapa Teams Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North, November 24. The sole selector to the Manawatu CrieKet Association, Mr. A. M. Cagley, has chosen the following eleven to represent the district in the Hawke Cup match against Wanarapa, which commences at Masterton on Thursday :-W. Norris, A. McVicar, K. McDonald, J. I’egden (Palmerston North), L. Pacey, L. Spring, M. O'Keefe, G. Deidiich (Old Boys), N. Gallichan, B. Broughton, Thompson (United). The twelfth man is L. Mullins. . As tlie teams in the association have not yet had played this season on account ot the continued unfavourable weather the selector was guided in his choice on last year's performance. The team’s prospects of emerging with a victory are in consequence not too bright. The Wairarapa team is as follows:—H. O. Blamires (captain), K. Montgomery, A. Patrick, B. Whitburn, H. Trapp, A. Creswell, P. Watts, J. Mill, I>. Falloon, F. Hoar, and H. B. Massey; twelfth man, J. Kenner. D. Groves was not available.
