BOY KILLED
Hoad Gives Under Car PASSENGERS’ ESCAPES A car containing five persons went over a bank on the Haunui road yesterday. One of the passengers, a boy of 14, was killed instantly. His name was—■ HALSEY ROY GEANGE, son ol Mr. W. S. Geange, Haunui. Lt appears that the ear was being <l riv ‘ en along the road near the end of a bank when with startling suddeness a portion of the earth gave way and precipitated it over the edge. There were five passengers in the car. three having miraculous escapes from death, but the boy was pinned underneath the chassis when the ear overturned, and when extricated was dead. Mr. Naismith. the other passenger, was found nearby with a broken arm.
