HEART HARDENED
Magistrate’s Intentions DRUNKEN MOTORISTS By Teipgraph—Press Association. Christchurch, November 24. “Any man intoxicated or drunk in charge’ of a motor vehicle must expect to lose his license.” said Mr. Mosley, S.M., in convicting Frederick Hobson, a contractor, aged 35. “In every case,” added Mr. Mosley, I will cancel the license in such cases. I will make no exceptions now. I have done so before in cases where men were earning their living or partially earning their living by means of trucks or motor-cars. It has become so common, however, that I must harden my heart.” Hobson was fined £lO and his license was cancelled until May 31.
