DEATH IN STORM
Boy Killed by Lightning DOWNPOUR AT NEWCASTLE Sydney, November 22. During a terrllic storm at Newcastle. Edward Jeston, aged twelve years, whs struck dead by lightning. Eye-witnesses relate that the flames appeared to surround him. Burns extended the full length of the right side of the body. The storm lasted less than half-an-hour, but the rain was so heavy that the streets resembled miniature watercourses. The ferry boat drifted on to a mudbank, and the passengers had to be rescued.
