WELLINGTON SUBURBS
Another United Candidate Air. K. McLennan, who contested the Wellington Suburbs seat as a United Party candidate last election, has decided to offer himself for that seat again next year. He intends to support the United Party if returned to Parliament. The sitting member for the Wellington Suburbs seat is Mr. R. A. Wright, a member of the Reform Parly who polled 574 S votes in 1928. Mr. McLennan then secured 3260 votes, and Mr. T Brindle, the Labour candidate. 3763. Mr. AfeLennan is the second to offer his services to the Unitell Party if re turned fnr this sent the first ■•nndnOitr for next year’s election being Mr .1 Cninrhli'v formerly Director <'f Kdneii lion. Tie announced last week that if re turned he would sunnort the present Government, although he reserved the right to exercise his discretion when he considered it necessary. So far. however no official United candidate has been namjd.
