Requests to City Council
The secretary of the Karori Progressive Association reported to a meeting of the committee last week that a reply had been received from the City Council in regard to the formation of footpaths in various streets in the district, in which it was stated that three of the. requests, those in regard to Cooper, Gipps, and Vera Streets, would be attended to at an early date by the council, and that the other requests would be dealt with wh.en the estimates were considered next year. The present position in regard to the baths was discussed, with a view to-fur-ther procedure; • . . ■ The president, Mr. W. Simm, is to interview the city engineer in regard to the Raroa Road improvements. It was decided to ask the Fire Board when it proposed. to proceed with the installation of automatic fire alarms.
