Three Hundred Increase
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui, November 21. The Minister of Labour, Hon. S. G. Smith, announced this evening that the unemployment figures for the week ended Monday showed an increase ot 336 compared with the previous week. The totals for the four centres, with those of the previous week, are as follow: -Last Previous week week Auckland .... 2132 Wellington ... 1057 901 Christchurch .. 1018 1072 Dunedin 430 481 What Auckland Has Done By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, November 22. In the last four years Auckland has spent £200,516 to relieve unemployment, of which £39,291 was Government subbltThese figures were compiled by the Mayor, in answer to an allegation that Auckland had not done as much as other cities to relieve unemployment. -
