Secondary Schools’ Contest The junior home nursing competition for secondary schools was held recently, five teams competing for the Lady Jacobina Luke trophy. The work consisted of bedmnking, bed-bathing (real patients), bandaging, poultices, dressings, the taking of temperatures, pulses, respirations and charting. The work was very favourably commented upon by the examiners Misses Hetherington, J. Allan and Whitelaw. The winning team was A team. Wellington Girls’ College House (captain, Nancy Canghley). The other members of the team were Nan Berry, Pearl Triester, Evadne Cockrell, Clare Radcliffe. Alice MacLaughlin. Other teams competing were; B team, Wellington East Girls’ College (captain, Gwyneth Lewis) ; C team, Wellington Girls’ College, Form IV Modern (captain, Peggy Ewart) ; D team, Wellington East Girls’ College (eaptnin, Mary Wilson); E. team. Wellington Girls’ College (captain, Grace Avery).
