SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
Miss K. Brailsford gave her first concert to seafarers at the Sailors’ Friend Society on Thursday. The performers were Misses Mary Bennett, I. Young, F. Smyth, K. Brailsford, G. Griffiths, and Messrs. Butcher, Gilbey, Anderson, Williams. Miss Brailsford and Mr. Butcher were at the piano. Light refreshments were handed to the guests by the hostess and her helpers. In the short story competition the prices came from Mrs. J. R. Blair and went to men in port.
