SECESSION MOVE
P. and T. Association By Telegraph.—Press Associativa Hamilton, July 24. Strong exception to the secession move on the part of the higher officials of the New Zealand post and telegraph service to form an executive officers’ guild was taken at a meeting of the Waikato-King Country section of the Post and Telegraph Employees’ Association at Hamilton. Although several controlling officers were present, the following resolution was carried ■ without dissent : "That this meeting expresses its regret at the action of controlling officers in the service in attempting to form a separate organisation, and trusts that wiser counsels will yet prevail so that the existing machinery of the association may be utilised to advance the claims and safeguard the rights of all members. irrespective of their positions in the department”
