LEAGUE COVENANT
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS ‘ FAVOURED BY BRITISH GOVERNMENT ( Rec. May 15, .7 p.m.) London, May 14. In the House of Commons, Dr. Dalton (Under-Secretary of Foreign Affairs) informed Sir Austen Chamberlain that the Government generally favoured the proposed amendments to the Covenant of the League of Nations, and after seeking the Dominions* con/currence would support their adoption at the next assembly at Geneva. The House of Commons would be given an opportunity for discussion before ratification.
