Warwick Stephenson, of Warnes and Stephenson, Ltd., was the recipient of two framed pictures from the staff and friends on the eve of his marriage recently. Mr. J. W. Niven has been appointed acting-city treasurer for the Christ church City Council. The “acting” is stated to be the council’s precautionary method of making appointments, Mr. Niveu and all those under him who have moved up being appointed for six months “on triai."
