A NEW BUILDING Palmerston North, May 2. The trustees and ladies’ managing committee of the Palmerston North AU baints Home this evening unanimously decided to proceed with the erection of a new home on the site in Pascoe Street,-which was donated by Mr. Hugh Akers. The new two-story building, which was considered at the meeting, willl be built in brick and will embody all the latest improvements. It will accommodate 38 children and is estimated to cost £4500. The trustees have £lBOO in hand, and will have also the proceeds of the sale of the present property in Ferguson Street. For the furnishings; of the new home £2OOO. wiU be required. The trustees are 'confident that ' the necessary financial support .will be forthcoming as -soon as the work begins. .
