HOSPITAL DISTRICT
MARLBOROUGH AMALGAMATION. Regulations gazetted last night abolish as from March 31 next the hospital districts of Picton and Waifau, and create in their stead the Marlborough hospital district. The Marlborough County Council and Havelock Town District, with six representatives, are to be the principal contributing local authorities, other bodies being allocated representation as follow: Awa'tere County, 2; Blenheim Borough, 3; Picton Borough, 1. The first election of members is to take place on February 2G,an(l the inaugural meeting is to be held on April 14.
