On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Pope’s entry into the priesthood, King George, in a message to His Holiness, says: “I cannot allow the happy occasion to pass without offering my sincerest congratulations and best wishes for welfare and happiness. I ask your Holiness to accept my felicitations and an assurance of the sincere friendship and heartfelt respect and esteem I feel in the person and character of His Holiness.”
