A FEASIBLE PROJECT HERRIOT ADVOCATES . SUPPORT Paris, December 26. M. Herriot told the Chamber of Deputies that M. Briand’s proposal for the United States of Europe was possible and should be given immediate support. “I hope,” he said, “that France in September will carry a definite project for federation to Geneva. Everything demonstrates that the project is possible. Will France add this supplement to the world’s peace?” ' M. Herriot declared that the project should be put into effect as soon as possible to avoid conflict with the growing system of economic operation and cartels. He Said that tariffs could be reduced and all obstacles overcome by the extension of commerce.
