Among the waiting passengers on the Hamilton railway station the other day was a. figure which attracted no little interest. She was a young Indian woman, attired in tho picturesque dress of her country. Inserted in the side of her nose was a gold ornament, commonly worn in India, while draped around her body and over her heart was a robe of blue and gold. She was evidently a new arrival in Now Zealand, and was travelling eastward to a farming district
