CANADIAN WHEAT POOL
TURNOVER FOR YEAR LARGEST SHIPMENTS TO BRITAIN ( Rec, November 28, 8.45 p.m.) Ottawa, November 28. The annual report of the Canadian Wheat Pool indicates that the gross turnover for the year is 288,000,000 dollars, or a reduction from the previous year of 35,000,000 dollars, due to the carry-over of wheat. The pool exported a total of 108,000,000 bushels, the largest shipments being to the United Kingdom, comprising 34,000,000 bushels. Kfforts to establish an agency in Europe, particularly in the United Kingdom, to stabilise a fair price, have been unsuccessful, so the report states.
