Tomatoes appeared to be slightly’more plentiful in city shops yesterday, best grades selling at from 1/10 to 2/6 per lb., .and other grades as low as 1/4. Owing to the last shipment being particularly large, Californian grapes are quoted at from 1/- to 1/2 per lb., which is very cheap. This week will see the last of the -season's dessert pears, and a few cooking varieties are left at 4d. lb.
