FROM FAR AND NEAR Beam Telephony.—The London-South African beam telephony will be started early next year with a continuous elevenhour daily service.—Press Assn. Fiji's First Aeroplane.—A Press Association message from Suva says that the first Fiji-owned Moth ’plane made a successful flight at Albert Park. Mr. N. Chalmers was the pilot. Another Fire at Murwilluinbali. —The ninth fire in five weeks occurred at Murwillumbah. and seriously damaged the “Tweed Daily” newspaper office, states a Press Association message from Sydney. It is stated that a man was found lurking in the stairway of the newspaper building before the fire.
