LOWER INTEREST RATES PREDICTED

HOOVER’S DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (Rec. November 26, 8.15 p.m.) Mashington, November 26. The Secretary of Agriculture, Mr. A. M. Hyde, predicted lower interest rates on loans to farmers after he and a group Of farm leaders had conferred with President Hoover to-day. The leaders recommended to the President an immediate extension of the national road-building programme. Throughout the day President Hoover’s office was flooded with telegrams from many sources indicating that officials of all capacities are eager to co-operate with the President’s programmes of construction and development. The President's final conference will be one with the utility heads, after which the Chamber of Commerce will take up the work begun by Mr. Hoover.
