BUSINESS SINCE UNITEDS TOOK OFFICE By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, November 26.
In conversation with a reporter, the Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle stated that the amount available for loans at the State Advances Office when the Government took office was £450,000. The number of applications pending was 3971, and the amount involved £4,168,290. The number of loans authorised to October 31 of this year was 7028. and the amount involved £7,114,590. The loans actually paid totalled 5161, amounting to £5,418,022.
