WELLINGTON CLUB. The match for the Victoria Cup Ja bogey handicap) was played by the Wellington Golf Club on Saturday and was won by S. G. Longuet with a score of 6 up. At Miramar on Saturday last the stroke competition for the gold button presented by Mr. J. L. Petley was. played. This event is open to those who during the season have won either a stroke or bogey competition. , The winner was W. R- Kirker, 88 —17 —71. A threesection stroke competition was also held. For the senior place TI. A. Black (76— 2—74). J. L. Petley (77 —-3—74), and C. T. Caulton (81—7—74) tied and will play off. The intermediate section was won by W. T. Wynyard (86 —15 —71), and the junior by Briton Smith (86 —IS— « S) - The club’s season will close on Saturday next, when a mixed foursome for dub members will be played, after which the presentation of prizes will take place.
