KARORI ROSE SHOW

FINE BLOOMS EXHIBITED ROSE CHAMPIONSHIP TO D. S. PATRICK Some very fine blooms were on view at the Karori Horticultural Society s Summer (Rose) Show held in the larish Hall, Karori, on Saturday. The Show, which was well attended ami quite up to the standard of previous Shows, was opened by Mr. R. A. Wright, M.P. There were exhibits from the Hutt Valley, Wellington and many suburbs, and keen interest was displayed. The trophy lor six rose blooms distinct was won by Air. James Bell. .Mr. 11. S. Hislop's tropliy for six roses as cut from the plant with own foliage was won by Mr. J. roster, of Lower Hutt The president s trophy, for three- roses distinct, was’ won by Mr. C. E. Howland, also of Lower Hutt. Another Lower Hutt exhibitor, I). S. Patrick, owned the champion rose, which is a fine specimen of a Mrs. Henry Morse Rose. DETAILED RESULTS.
