Swimming out to his ship in the face of a furious, wind-lashed sea, the Norwegian engineer of the auxiliary scow Rahlrl, which was driven ashore on’ Chamberlain’s Island, recently brought the crew’s Cat back to safety at the risk of his life. At a meeting of the Empire Service League held in Amberley, North Canterbury, on Monday night, it was decided, to invite a representative speaker to address a future gathering on the present activities of the Empire Service League.
