SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
The bi-weekly concert given by Misses Van Staveren at the Sailors’ Friend Society on Thursday will long be a pleasant memory for the guests who shared in the many pleasures arranged. Light refreshments were dispensed by the hostesses and helpers. The performers were Misses G. Cowan, N. Coster, L. Mclntosh, E. Cowan, Van Staveren (2) and Messrs. Wendon and Pennington. Miss K. Mclntosh was at the piano. _ The competitions again filled a place in the bill. The prizes came from the hostesses and Miss K.- Mclntosh and went to the Corinthic and Manama.
