TOWN SWEPT BY FIRE
TWO HUNDRED PEOPLE HOMELESS Edmonton, Alberta, Nov. 14. Two hundred inhabitants of the township of Thorhild, fifty miles north of here, homeless, many without clothing, and all without food, are being sheltered in available floor space in the farmhouses as the result of a bush fire on Wednesday evening, which was swept by the wind like an inferno upon the town almost before the danger was realised. There was no loss of life, but some people suffered burns. The majority of the children escaped in their night-clothes. The loss of property is estimated at 150.000 dollars. »,
