CROPS BADLY NEDD RAIN. Dominion Special Service. Nelson, November 1. The month, of October has been one of the driest on record over a period of forty-six years. Only a little over an inch and a half has been recorded, against an average of three inches and a half. On the last two days of the month welcome rai.n fell, and will do an immense amount of good throughout the district, but more is needed.
