A MILD BOOM
BUILDING IN MASTERTON Masterton, November 1. Twenty-one building permits to a total value of £10,917 were issued by the Masterton Borough Council during October, as compared with 15 permits of a total value of £7481, issued in the corresponding month last year. Last month’s figures are the highest since August, 1928. when 15 permits of a total value of £10,591 were issued. Included in the permits for last month are two for residences, valued respectively at £5550 and £2168. It is likely that several large building contracts will be put in hand in the near future. In the same month the Mast.erton County Council issued two permits of a total value of £l7OO, the value of permits for the corresponding month last year being £2OO.
