TOWN AND COUNTRY Mr. and Mrs. R. Page, Masterton, arc visitors to Hamilton. Mrs. Raymond Lee, Masterton, is visiting Wellington. Airs. L. Blundell, Kelburn, 'Wellington, is visiting Mrs. 11. H. Daniell, Lansdowne, Masterton. Sir. and Mrs. H. P. Hugo, Masterton. have motored to Hamilton for a short holiday. Mrs. John McMaster has returned to MaJ*tinborough after a visit to her mother, Mrs. McKenzie, Masterton. Mrs. F. 0. Lewis and Miss May Lewis, Masterton, are staying with Mrs. Guy Lewis, at Pahiatua. On Thursday evening members of the Masterton Rotary Club held a successful eabaret in the Arcade Hall. Gay decorations carried out in the club colours of yellow and blue, with rotary wheel's, and bunches of multi-coloured baloons, .formed an effective setting for the function, which was continued until the early hours of the’ morning. Dr. and Mrs. Kronfeld, of Auckland, are visiting Palmerston North at present, Mrs. IV. Mace, who has . been visiting her sister, Mrs. Isbister, 'of Langston Avenue, Palmerston North,. has now returned to her home at Mrs. G. D. Pattie, of, Ferguson Street, Palmerston North, has left on a healthrecruiting holiday, to be spent at Rotorua. Mrs. Hawliins and Miss Hawkins, ,of New Plymouth, are staying in Palmerston North. , , On Thursday afternoon members of the Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary (I almerston North) farewelled Mrs. b. Ivingston at a tea given in her honour at Messrs. Collinson and Cunninghame, Ltd. Those present included Mesdames M. Aitchison (president),. S. Kingston, h. Kendall (secretary), E. 0. Mrs. Kingston, who leaves shortly for Gisborue, was the recipient of a crystal vase; Mrs. M. Aitchison, in making the presentation, on behalf of’the auxiliary, expressed regret at having to say good-bye to Dlrs. Kingston, who had filled _ the position of secretary in such a splendid and thorough manner. The guest of honour returned thanks. , , _ Mrs. M. Bond has returned to Wanganui from Pahiatua; Dr. Kronfeld and Mrs. Kronfeld have taken up residence in XVangauui. Dr. Kronfeld has recently returned from England. His marriage to Miss Jean Ellingham, of Ormondville; took place tins week. ' • Mrs. W. J. Gardner, of Wanganui, has returned from Hawke’s Bay. Mr. and Mrs; Deane, of Palmerston North, are the guests of Mrs. Deane s sister, Mrs. L. Benjamin, of Wanganui. Mrs. Adams and Miss Adams, of Wanganui, are visiting Stratford ■ Mrs. Frank Warnock, and Mr. and Mrs. Owen, were Wellington visitors to Wanganui during the week. They were the guests of Mrs. 'LL Warnock. Mrs. and Miss McKinnon are Napier visitors to Wanganui. / Dlr. and Mrs. F. H. Johnston, of Wellington, are visiting Wanganui. St. Paul’s Presbyterian Missionary Society, Wanganui, held a most successful sale on Thursday, when the sum of approximately £7B was raised. Miss Gibbons has returned to Wanga-, nui from Palmerston North. Mrs. A. R. Gower, who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hope Gibbons, of Wanganui, has returned to the Hutt. r . . ' Mrs. R.
