SPANISH DICTATOR
OPPONENTS ACQUITTED Madrid, October 30. A sensation was caused by the acquittal of Senor Guerra and his son. Raphael, as tantamount to a revolt against the Dictatorship. The decision awaits the ratification of the Provincial Governor. Meanwhile, official circles are reticent. The same Court convicted several artillery officers on the same chrge. It is recalled that while under arrest Guerra received from the late Queen Mother a letter appealing to him for help against the Dictatorship. [Senor Sanchez Guerra, ex-Pnme Minister of Spain, and his son in January last were implicated in an effort to start a revolution at Valencia against the Dictatorship. Part of the garrison revolted, but was suppressed. The Guerras, father and son, fled to Minorca, but afterwards faced trial.]
