ESPERANTO CLUB
The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club was held on Tuesday night in the Y.W.C.A., Mr. E. C. Jack presiding. After instruction and conversation classes, the rest of the evening was devoted to diversified items of an intertaining and instructive nature. Mrs. H. Aspto concluded her Esperanto jiarrative of “La Feino.” Mrs. C. Leek and Mr. V. Leek gave a dialogue to Esperanto on “The Esperantist and the Sceptic.” Miss Coralie Smythson contributed an amusing item in Esperanto—“lt’s a Great Life if You Don’t Weaken.” Mr. Jack presented a number of schoolboy bowlers and jokes in Esperanto. Mrs. H. M. Steffens recited the Esperanto poem, “Al Krezofilino.” The secretary, Mr. B. Potts, delivered a short address in Esperanto on “Horology—The Science of Time Measurement,” with blackboard demonstratidn. ■
