4 ENTERTAINED AT SUVA PROJECTED AIR SERVICE (Rec. October 31, 7 p.m.) Suva, October 31. The Mayor, seconding Major Joske’s toast of “Our Visitor,” said Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith and the Southern Cross had done more to make Fiji known to the far corners of the earth than anyone or anything else. Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith, replying, said his associate, FlightLieutenant Ulm, regretted that he was not able to come to Fiji to renew old friendships.
