BADY ELAND COMES TO AUCKLAND ZOO
Dominion Special Service. AuckJand, Octpber 31, A young eland was born at tjie Zop this week. Tjie animal belongs to the antelope species. The’ Mayor (Mr. G. Balldon), who mode a vjsit to the Zoo this morning, said he believed the new-comer was the first of its kind ever born in captivity. It Is also the first baby of the young pair acquired by the City Council about five years ago.
