LEFT NOTHING TO CHANCE
THOROUGHNESS WORTHY OF A BETTER CAUSE
Australian Press Assn.—United Service.
Nice, October 1.
Intending to leave nothing to chance, Casasco, an accountant, suffering from a persecution mania,- placed bottles of petrol in every nook and cranny of his apartments, including cupboards and drawers, and sprinkled trains of sulphur from them to a bath, also filled with petrol. He drank a bottle of champagne, entered the bath, set fire to the petrol, and instantly became a human torch, of which only a handful of charred bones remained when the firemen finally mastered the flames.
