On the subject of unemployment the following remit was passed by the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce for submission to the Associated Chambers Conference: “In the opinion of this conference, the solution of the problem of unemployment is to be sought rather in the removal of conditions which cramp the operalion of the law of supply anil demand anil limit the free use of capital by private enterprise, than iu ameliorative proviions.”—Press Assn.
