A MOTORIST—AND A PROMISE
Sir, —The fact that a man possesses a motor-car and is well-dressed, cannot always be taken as evidence that he is a gentleman. This was shown in an accident which occurred in Courtenay Place about a fortnight ago, when a young girl was knocked down by a motorist. He took the girl to her place of business, and promised to call next day to inquire as to her condition. He has not done so up to how, and unfortunately his number was not secured. It shows the necessity of procuring this information, and not trusting too much to easily-broken promises. _ In this case medical expenses have been incurred, and I trust that this letter may reach the eye of the motorist and cause him to fulfil his belated duty and thus remove a stigma which may be cast on motorists generally.-I am. etq..
