Pruning Not Far-reaching Enough.

Mr. F. Campbell said the pruning which had been done had had some effect, but was not far-reaching enough, and they should go further into the matter of effecting economies which would at least make accounts balance. The results showed that they were on the right track, and if the matter were gone into further by a sub-committee, he thought that next year they would accomplish that end. Mr. Byron Brown suggested that the whole business wanted reorganising and new ideas brought in. In reply to a question, Mr. Fuller said that judges’ fees were £lO5 less than for the preceding year.

A sub-committee was appointed to bring down a report for the next meeting regarding the financial position, and to make suggestions for future guidance. ________
