FARMER FOUND DEAD
INDICATIONS OF SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Cambridge, Oetobei- 1. George Middleton, a well-known farmer at Horahora, aged about 45 years, was found dead this morning in a gully about 200 yards from his home with a Winchester rifle alongside him and a wound m the temple. All the evidence points to suicide. The deceased was a son of Mr. Thomas Middleton, of Auckland. lie had been missing since 11.30 a.m. yesterday, and the body was discovered at 7 30 a.m. bv a search party. Letters found in his clothing showed that he intended to take his life.
