SYDNEY-PERTH AERIAL RACE
COMMENCEMENT OF FIRST STAGE Australian Press Association. Sydney, September 30. Seventeen aeroplanes left Mascot this morning on the flrst stage of the Sydney-Perth race. The race will be flown by twelve stages, two daily, no stage to be more than 250 miles. COMPETITORS REACH MELBOURNE. (Rec. October 1, 12.30 a.m.) Melbourne, September 80. The whole of the competitors in the air race to Perth reached Melbourne safely to-day.
