LYALL BAY CLUB’S SEASON
The 1928-29 season of the Lyall Bay Hurt and Life-saving Club was highly successful, according to the annual report. The finances of the club are in a fairly sound position, Although the cash balance is not large, there are a number of saleable assets which represent a fairly large cash value. By the efforts of members £3O Bs. 6d. was raised to help tlie finances of the club. Sincere thanks for donations are extended to Messrs. lan Dunean, C. E. Bridge, P. N. Rundle, and H. R. Ayers. The membership of the club is 75, including 64 active members. The life-saving gear is in good condition, one reel having been replaced during the year by a new one. The thanks of the club are tendered to the patron, president, and vice-presidents, and to all who made donations to the club funds and assisted the club in fulfilling its obligation to the public; also to the beach custodian for his readiness to assist the club Pt all times.
