ULSTER ASSOCIATION

CONSTITUTION ADOPTED A further meeting of the Ulster Association of New Zealand was held last night in the Y.M.C.A. rooms, when the Rev. J. Baird presided over an attendance of about one hundred members, including a good representation of ladies. The provisional committee submitted a report upon the constitution and bylaws, which was approved, after slight alterations. The meeting decided that the association should be non-political and nonsectarian, and devote Itself to social help and mutual benefit to bring Ulster men together in the Dominion. It was decided to adopt as a crest the “Red Hand of Ulster,” surmounted with a crown and surrounded with a silver fern.

Another meeting will be held in a week’s time.
