NEARING THE UNITED STATES DUE ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON Australian Press Assn.—United Service. (Rec. August 4, 11 p.m.) New York, August 3. The Graf Zeppelin is expected to reach Lakehurst early on Sunday afternoon, according to a message picked up by the Cape Elizabeth naval wireless station on Saturday night. • EARLIER PROGRESS REPORTS New York, August 2. A report from Ponta Delgada in San Miguel Island, the most easterly of the Azores Group, states that the Graf Zeppelin is believed to have passed there at 9.35, Eastern standard time, which, If authenlc, indicates that the airship has been averaging over ninety miles an hour since leaving Cadiz. London, August 2. The Zeppelin passed over the Azores. The commander reports all well. The Zeppelin had to fight almost every inch of the way in the face of strong head winds. Captain Eckener says that the stowaway will be deported immediately they reach the United States. In the meantime he will be kept a close prisoner. STOWAWAY GIVES TROUBLE Australian Press Assn.—United Service. (Rec. August 4, 5.5 p.m.) Gibraltar, August 3. A message picked up from the Graf Zeppelin says the stowaway endangered the lives of the passengers by jumping up on top of the envelope. He was made prisoner, and will be handed over to the authorities at the first opportunity.
