THE COTTON CRISIS

The cotton spinners have initiated a movement to secure a general reduction in finishing charges, and they will approach the bleaching, ■''■''eing, printing, and packing sides of the Industry for this purpose. This new turn of affairs meets the complaint of the operatives, who object to a reduction of wages being regarded as the sole means of lowering costs of production.
