AUSTRALIAN EMBARGO ON POTATOES
MESSAGE FROM NEW ZEALAND
Australian Press Association. (Rec. August 4, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, August 4. The Housewives’ Association here has received a cablegram from the New Zealand Agricultural Department as follows. “Disease in potato crop normal; not serious. Any shipments to Adstralia would be subject to careful inspection.” The Housewives’ Association is consequently pressing for the lifting of the embargo.
