The “Sunday Express” says Britain to all intents and purposes is going to evacuate Egypt. It is most important to know what is going to happen in the Soudan, which has been made prosperous through the energy of Englishmen.
MINISTERIAL APPROVAL ANTICIPATED (Rec. August 4, 5.5 p.m.) London, August 1 3. The “Daily Telegraph’s” diplomatic correspondent affirms that no draft of the Anglo-Egyptian Treaty exists, but only a document embodying the points of agreement for submission to a full Cabinet meeting next week. It is expected that Ministers will readily assent, seeing that the proposals are already approved by Mr. MacDonald and Lord Thomson as well as Mr. Henderson.
