WAIRARAPA FLYING FIELD
MAJOR ISITT’S SEARCH Masterton. August 3. Following his visit to Jlasterton for the purpose of addressing the Progress League aud later a public meeting, on aero club matters, Jlajor Isitt, ActingDirector of Aviation, inspected several proposed landing-ground areas near JlasOne ground near Te Ore Ore, which previously had been thought to be suitable for an all-way landing ground, Jlajor Isitt thought would be unsuitable on account of its wetness, which would prevent big machines from landing in wet weather. In any case, he pointed out, the land was of too valuable a nature. Another proposed site on the Loop Line he considered would meet all requirements, while another land within close proximity to Jlasterton, he considered to be unsuitable on account of its similarity to the land at Te Ore Ore.
